The Regional Care Center helps families traveling from another state or country receive world-class pediatric care. Our dedicated Patient Navigators ensure your experience at Arkansas Children's is as comfortable and seamless as possible--before, during and after your stay.

Our international patient services provide the assistance your family needs to make your stay easier by providing:
- A single point of contact to help you plan your visit and assist with travel and accommodations as needed

Patient Safety

Find your way around the Arkansas Children’s Hospital campus using our maps or mobile app.
The Arkansas Children’s app is designed to be your “go-to app” for managing your child’s health. It provides tools for making everyday health decisions, like the symptom checker and First Aid steps. Our experts and your doctors are just one tap away on this free mobile app, including access to MyChart, hospital maps and parenting advice.
In addition to hospital maps, there are overhead and wall signs to direct you to different areas. If you are confused, just approach any hospital employee (you’ll know an employee because of the ACH identification badge!) and ask for assistance.
Who You'll Meet During Your Stay
Parents and Caregivers
You are not a visitor but an important member of the healthcare team because of your vital role in caring for your child. You are welcome to stay here 24 hours a day as long as your child is hospitalized. Be sure to get a Parent ID Badge from the Admissions desk and wear it at all times while here.
Medical Emergency Team (MET)
This group is a designated team of medical professionals who respond when notified to support staff on the unit and ensure that appropriate care is delivered to the patient.
Interpreters
Call our Interpreters' Office at 501-364-6590 (ext. 46590 from an internal phone) for assistance with communication in any form other than English.
Patient and Family Representative
Representatives are here to assist you in resolving concerns, passing along compliments, and/or helping get your questions answered about the hospital stay.
Other Personnel
During your stay, you and your child may be visited by other healthcare professionals from departments, including Social Work, Child Life and Education, Volunteers, Respiratory Care, Chaplain, and more. Our team also consists of behind-the-scenes workers such as accountants, administrative assistants, food service workers, housekeepers, and others who contribute significantly to the quality of your overall stay.

To ensure maximum comfort for our patients and their families, we provide numerous hospital amenities. From complimentary services to convenient shopping options, our hospital provides an abundance of options for patients and their families, making your stay feel more like home.

Your child’s doctor will let you know when your child is ready for discharge. If care is needed at home, a case manager from the Discharge Planning Department may be asked to help arrange that care. The case manager will work closely with you, the community agency providing the care, and the insurance company so that discharge goes well.
