Dr. Wineland graduated with distinction from Hendrix College in 2004. He then attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) where he was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha and graduated with Honors in Research in 2008. He completed his Otolaryngology residency at Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes Jewish Hospital. During residency, he completed a Masters in Clinical Investigation at Washington University with a focus of Otolaryngology Clinical Outcomes. After his seven years of residency training, Dr. Wineland completed a two-year Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Dr. Wineland is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. His clinical and research interests pediatric breathing and swallowing disorders, congenital anomalies of the head and neck, sleep disordered breathing, refractory sleep apnea, benign and malignant thyroid disease, functional voice disorders, hearing loss, and chronic ear disease (including endoscopic / minimally invasive ear surgery).
