The Neuromuscular Program at Arkansas Children's Hospital is dedicated to treating infants, children and teens with neuromuscular disorders.

Neuromuscular disorders include a wide range of conditions including:

  • Myopathies
  • muscular dystrophies
  • neuropathies
  • neuromuscular junction disorders (such as myasthenia gravis)
  • motor neuron diseases (such as spinal muscular atrophy)

Multidisciplinary Neuromuscular Clinics that we offer:

  • Dystrophinopathy clinic: children with Duchenne and Becker Muscular dystrophies
  • Muscular dystrophy clinic: children with other types of muscular dystrophies, myopathies, and myasthenia gravis
  • SMA clinic: children with spinal muscular atrophy
  • Neuropathy clinic: children with inherited neuropathy (Charcot Marie Tooth disease) and acquired neuropathy, such as CIDP
  • Undiagnosed neuromuscular clinic: children with suspected neuromuscular disorders with no confirmed diagnosis
