Dr. Tanmay Bhamare, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the section of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children's Hospital.
Dr. Bhamare received his medical education from Seth G.S. Medical College in Mumbai, India. He then completed pediatric residencies at the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research and at Miami Children’s Hospital. He continued his training at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada, completing a fellowship in pediatric cardiology and then another fellowship in adult congenital heart disease at the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
In 2017, Dr. Bhamare joined the staff at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where he specializes in adult congenital heart disease and serves as the medical director of the program at Arkansas Children's Hospital. He is a member of the International Society for Adult Congenital Heart Disease, Adult Congenital Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association and National Lipid Association. His primary research interests include aortopathy in congenital heart disease, pulmonary involvement in congenital heart disease and pregnancy in women with congenital heart disease.
