Gina Sacks, M.D., a pediatric plastic surgeon at Arkansas Children’s and assistant professor in the department of surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, earning a B.S. in Public Health (Nutrition) and a B.A. in Spanish. Following this, Dr. Sacks earned her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where she graduated with honors, including induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Additionally, she completed a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Michigan Health System prior to joining Arkansas Children’s.

Dr. Sacks clinical work is complemented by a strong foundation in research, having contributed to studies on opioid utilization and surgical outcomes following cleft lip and palate repairs, as well as exploring the impact of ethnicity on craniosynostosis outcomes. Dr. Sacks has been awarded several prestigious research grants, and several honor society awards.
